More Arts Week fun!

 Helen from Magic Lantern brought an inspiring street art session to Year 2 class, introducing the children to artists including Banksy, Stik, and My Dog Sighs. We explored Banksy’s Cave Painting Removal, a piece showing a worker washing away prehistoric art, alongside Stik’s simple stick figures and My Dog Sighs’ tiny paintings on discarded chewing gum. The visit sparked lots of curiosity and creativity, helping pupils see how art can tell powerful stories in unexpected places.

What a week!

Year 2 were entertained twice this week! First, on Tuesday we visited Watford Palace Theatre to see a production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. The show featured singing, dancing, water squirters and lots and lots of beans! Today we made the journey to the Watford Colosseum to see Electric Umbrella. They are a live band that bring together people of all abilities to create and perform joyful songs. They recently appeared on the television show 'Britain's Got Talent'!
